Finished Projects

Over the last several years, Hope School has made many additions and improvements to the school facilities and grounds. Many of these are now producing income for the school, and some have improved the conditions for students at the school. Many of these projects were funded by local and foreign donors, and for that we thank all those who have contributed to the mission of Hope School.

For a long time, we had had the hope of being able to buy a vehicle for the school. One that would be able to drive children home if needed, that would assist us with selling more eggs (especially to grocery stores) and would allow us to drive our boarders to various activities and events in the evenings. In January 2019, we finally purchased one! It has provided for us in every way we hoped for and more. We are blessed to hav...

We are pleased to announce the completion of our solar energy farm on the roof of our school building. Now running full time, the solar farm provides 100% of the electricity needed to operate the school, and will pay for itself by eliminating the need to pay a bill to an electric company. This system is effective, modern, and reliable, and we are thankful to God for providing this new way to power our ministry.

Our new school cafeteria is a facility on school grounds that allows students to purchase food at lunchtime each day, meaning they do not have the need to go off school grounds during the schoolday.  This facility improves the quality of life for the students at the school in many ways, and is extremely beneficial to our everyday operation.  We hope to add a cafe for the people of Beit Jala as well that will be open during sch...

One of the most vital sources of income for the school is the chicken farm. Chickens are kept in facilities on the school grounds, and the eggs are used to feed the students and sold to the local community. At one point, the school chicken farm accounted for 20% of the total school income. The school h...

Based on the generous funds and donations from our friends, we were able to tackle one of the school's problems. Over the past years, classes suffered a lack of water-proofing, mainly in winter. Water was dropping into the classrooms, the staff room, and the corridor. This year we prayed and tried our best to raise funds to tackle the problem. We were sure that God would not let us down, for as 1 Peter says: "Cast all your anx...
