Chilean Palestino Deportivo Club Visits Hope school

In a gesture of international solidarity, 40 members of Club Deportivo Palestino traveled from Chile to Hope School for a visit and a little bit of futbol. The club faced off against players from Hope School and the Beit Jala Orthodox Club in a friendly match. A humble ceremony took place before the match to welcome the group. The ceremony was attended by Beit Jala Mayor Mr. Nicola Khamis, the Board of Directors, and key persons of the local community. The club players and coaches were not the only ones to make the trip, however. Twenty-five high school students from The Arabic School in Santiago, Chile also graced us with their presence. At Hope School, Christmas Spirit has descended upon us as we prepare for our end-of-semester Christmas ceremony and seek out gifts for our students. Student Field Trip

Last weekend our students from Hope School had the opportunity for a well deserved reward in celebration of the completion of the first semester of the 2016-17 school year. Many of our students went with some of the teachers from our school to the nearby town of Beit Sahour, where they had a day of games and activities followed by a campout at Morad Resort in Beit Sahour. The next day, the students and teachers went to the capital of Palestine, Ramallah, and enjoyed a day of fun in the Ramallah Amusement Park, riding roller coasters and enjoying carnival games. We believe in rewarding a job well done, and our students have worked very hard this year to reach Christmas break. Here at Hope
