Basketball!

As you may know, our project to build a new basketball gym had left us without a place to play basketball in the meantime. We are pleased to say that problem has now been solved! On Monday, we installed a portable basketball hoop that will reside in our newly-paved parking lot and provide our students a place to shoot around during gym and break time. It's also a nice alternative for those who don't prefer soccer and want another way to exercise.

We are grateful for the support of Mt. Jackson United Methodist Church, who assisted us in this purchase. They have visited and seen the progress the school has made and have decided to join with us in our continued development. Like the building of the soccer field, installing this hoop is providing a much-needed recreational outlet for the students. We look forward to having an indoor facility later this year, but this hoop will be very useful until then. See pictures of the hoop's first days here.
