Peace Education Camp in Ibillin
On March 29th, 2019, Hope school participated in Peace Education Camp which was organized under the patronage of Bishop Elias Cahcour. Over 100 students and teachers participated in one day camp which was held with the help of the Korean institute "HWPL" : Heavenly Culture, World Peace Restoration of Light. The camp included students from three schools including Hope School, Beit Jala, St. John school, Haifa and Mar Elias School in Ibillin. The Camp was inaugurated by a speech delivered by Bishop Chacour who confirmed the importance of this camp in refusing any kind of violence and in building good relations among our children in Beit Jala and Ibillin. On the other hand, The director of Hope school Mr. Khader expressed his happiness to participate in such camp and assert that violence of all kind; physical and verbal, should be uprooted not only from the educational process but also from our minds and hearts. Our education realm should be free from violence. The meeting composed of different activities including a lecture delivered by Miss. Autumn from Korea and other music activities. Students of Hope school played some nice music with the drums and scout pipe. Marah who is attending class 11th at Hope school made a poem about the occasion. At the end of the day, every participant shared in the hand print activity where all hands were printed on the same sign.
