Hope School was honored to welcome Ms. Päivi Peltokoksi, Ambassador of Finland to the Palestinian Authority accompanied by Ms. Satu Haapanen; director of Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM) and Ms. Sari-Johanna Kuittilo; work Counsellor. The visit came in response to an invitation from the school principal Mr. Saba, who welcomed the distinguished guests with other members of the school staff and Board of Directors. Mr. Saba made a brief presentation about the school, the target group, its mission, vision, and the school sections in addition to the achievements that have been accomplished during the past few years which came in the context of the school endeavor to upgrade and improve the school performance and provide a constructive educational environment for the students and the staff. The Ambassador, in return, thanked the school administration for the work they do to serve these vulnerable children especially the boarders, and give a second chance of education to those who did not show good performance in their schools and moved to Hope School for another opportunity. Many thanks to the guests who showed humbleness during the visit to the pre-school children at the kindergarten and by taking the local-made lunch together with the children at the school dining room. At the end of the visit, the delegation made a tour over the different sections of the school including the chicken farm, the newly renovated boarding section, the school classes, and the newly renovated guest house.
